Rick Piereck | Attorney at Law

At Piereck Law, LLC, our founder, Rick Piereck, is devoted to seeing that his clients receive the highest level of professional representation for all of their legal needs. His experience in criminal litigation includes being a former Calvert County Assistant State’s Attorney and Prince George’s County State’s Attorney.

His extensive experience in the courtroom has greatly benefited those facing a variety of charges ranging from DUIs to Attempted Murder.

Mr. Piereck grew up in Miami, Florida and joined the US Army Reserves while still a senior in high school. Between deployments in support of the global war on terrorism, Mr. Piereck was able to complete his Bachelor of Public Administration degree from Florida International University in Miami Florida.

Mr. Piereck eventually made his way to the American University Washington College of Law where he was a member of the Administrative Law Review Journal as well as a competing member of the school’s mock trial team. Rick graduated and was able to secure the JD Distinguished Fellowship and began to work at the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Piereck then left the state’s attorney’s office to work as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Michael J .Stamm at the Circuit Court for Saint Mary’s County, Maryland. In this role, Mr. Piereck worked on hundreds of cases ranging from family law matters, criminal matters, real state actions and other miscellaneous causes of action.

Mr. Piereck left the clerkship and went straight to work at the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office where, for approximately 3 years, Mr. Piereck specialized in juvenile delinquency prosecutions where here is responsible for all such prosecutions occurring in Calvert County.

Mr. Piereck left the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office to join the Major Crimes Division of the Prince Georges County State’s Attorney’s Office. There, he handled hundreds of cases from serious assaults to attempted murder.

Mr. Piereck left the Prince Georges County State’s Attorney’s Office to open Piereck Law, LLC on November 2018 with the explicit goal of providing high-quality representation to clients throughout Maryland.
